Customer service was mid. When I called to let them know me wedding cake melted , lady who answered the phone copped an attitude bad. Thankfully Ryan is very professional. I have always wanted to try cakes by the lake cos I am a local and thought my wedding was the correct time to do so. I will say , even with the melted frosting ruining the aesthetic and my forever photos , everything else was fine & the cake tasted good. The only reason they got 2/5 stars is because my wedding cake MELTED and the lady on the phone was rude. The only reason they didn't get a lower rating is because Ryan redeemed them with his customer service. I don’t think I’ll buy from them again. It was good but like ultimately not the best. We had a last-minute request and needed three custom cookie cakes within 24 hours, and this team absolutely delivered. Not only were they able to turn the order around quickly, but the cakes looked fantastic and tasted great as well. Their willingness to help on such short notice and still provide quality work really stood out. Great customer service, great product, and they made the whole process easy. We’ll definitely be coming back for future orders.

I contacted them about making a custom cake and they contacted me back in a timely manner and mentioned they were pretty full that day, but still took my custom cake order. The cake was absolutely beautiful and looked exactly like the picture I sent. It tasted just as good as it looked, and the amount of cake we got for the price was incredible I was thoroughly surprised how cheap it was compared to the quality of cake we received. I would recommend this place to anybody in the area looking for cake at their next event. Thank you so much Cake by the Lake! 😊

I don't even like sweets but the buttercream frosting was great. The variety of flavors were all good individually. Ryan was a good host and we are happy with how the tasting went. Will update when we go to pick up our cake for the cocktail party. Also, keep in mind to order with at least a few weeks notice. We hadn't ordered a cake before, but they were gracious enough to take our order 14 days before the party.

We are absolutely thrilled with the amazing job Ryan did at our wedding! From the moment we had our first tasting, we knew we were in for a treat. The cake not only looked stunning but tasted incredible—fluffy, moist, and perfectly balanced in flavor. The attention to detail was impressive and was a true work of art. On top of that, the selection of desserts he provided was delicious and a hit with all our guests! We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
